What’s Strong With You

Remembering and re-membering our strengths

Let’s imagine your life as a weaving. For each of three threads, you’ll meet a set of cards, each one an “I” statement and how it shows up. Sort each card into often me, sometimes me or not now. Then choose up to five per thread, and see them woven into one cloth.

Your loom is for now: who you are in this season. Strengths shift with our capacity and our context. Some are with us every day, some only when we feel rested, safe or among people we trust. “Sometimes me” threads are woven in too, in a softer shade.

The warp · Cognitive. How my brain works. The steady threads everything else is woven on.

The weft · Character. Who I am. The values I choose, row after row.

The color and pattern · Cultural. Where I come from, including the cultures I grew up in, lived in and chose.

There are no right choices, and you don’t have to be sure. Stuck on a card? Tap Guide me. Moved too fast? Tap ← Back, or Review my piles to change any card. Need a break? Tap Pause; everything is saved on this device. The names of your strengths stay hidden until the end. The weaving image is inspired by the T’boli people of Mindanao and their t’nalak weaving.

Example weaving An example woven cloth: five blue warp threads, five gold weft threads and five diamond motifs, each labeled with a strength.
